While I’m all for welfare programs and distributing things like laptops and KCR Kits, it’s frustrating that these schemes become political footballs instead of just basic rights for people. The Congress government should absolutely be called out if they’re rolling back helpful welfare initiatives, but it’s also telling that BRS only seems to care about the poor when it helps their own image. Solidarity with jailed activists is important, but I wish these parties would show the same energy fighting for marginalized communities every day, not just on camera. At the end of the day, all this spectacle just highlights how much politics here is about personalities and not real systemic change. We need policies that consistently support people, not just charity drives tied to a politician’s birthday.
